Ivan Štrkalj

Ivan is the Manager in the Financial Advisory Department at Mazars in Croatia. As a specialist for EU and national grants, he is in charge of advising clients in finding the sources of EU and national co-financing and for the overall support when applying their projects for various tenders (development of project ideas, preparation of project applications, feasibility and investment studies, business plans and other supporting documents). He has ten years of experience in the development and preparation of projects funded from the European Structural and Investment Funds with a total value of EUR 27 million (of which over EUR 10 million in grants) in the fields of research and development, construction and equipping, setting up of ICT solutions, energetics, education and European territorial cooperation. He started his career in the public sector working on the preparation and implementation of EU projects and afterwards moved to private consulting company where he worked on the preparation of the EU funded projects in the Investor Support Service.

He graduated from the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb, after which he further engaged in training and became certified manager for the development and preparation of EU funded projects. He has undergone numerous national and international trainings on the topics of project management and control of EU funds.
