Within the “Economy Week”, the “Franco-Croatian Economy Forum on business clusters” was held on 26 May 2015.
The participants of the Forum were:
HE Michèle Boccoz, the French Ambassador to Croatia; Marija Rajaković, the Head of the Division for preparing programs and conducting EU-projects, Ministry of Economy; Xavier Merlin, from the French Ministry of Economy, Industry and Digital Economy; Karine Jacq, from the Competitiveness and Business Clusters Organization (Association Française des Pôles de Compétitivité); Ivana Mezak, from the Agency for Investments and Competitiveness, and Pere Mioč, the manager of Tax and Business Advisory at Mazars.
The developmental policies of Croatian and French business clusters within the context of the Smart Specialization Strategy were presented, and examples of the best practices by Croatian and French business clusters were shown. Mr. Mioč closed the Forum by presenting a comparison of Croatian tax incentives for exploration and development with incentives in other countries from the region.
The next day, 27 May, the Franco-Croatian Forum was hosted by the Croatian Chamber of Economy. In this event, French and Croatian companies willing to cooperate in various sectors of economy took part. This was an opportunity for the French Companies to learn more about the economic situation in Croatia, as well as to discuss specific forms of cooperation with Croatian partners.
Andrija Garofulić and Pere Mioč from the company Mazars Cinotti presented to potential investors the tax and legal characteristics of the Croatian market, and compared them to the French.
